The Canadian Foundation for Comedy Excellence is proud to announce the winners of the esteemed Beaver awards for 2008. The awards were presented at The Comedy Network Presents The Canadian Comedy Awards & Festival in Regina, Saskatchewan during a special industry dinner at Casino Regina on Friday October 3, 2008. More than 100 comedians are performing in 14 shows in Regina October 1-5 as part of the celebrations

The Comedy Network Presents the Canadian Comedy Awards and Festival is offering fans of The Simpsons (and who, really, isn't a fan?) a double dose of Simpson's entertainment October 1 -5th in Regina. Not only is the executive producer and senior writer of the show, Tim Long, presenting an “insiders look” workshop in Regina but the highly acclaimed MacHomer, where Shakespeare meets The Simpsons, will be staged too!
